Candidate Privacy Notice

When we help our clients find their next hire, we also work with people considering their next career move. This notice explains how Alyn collects, uses and shares your personal information during that process, whether you contact us directly or we approach you about an opportunity.

When we help our clients find their next hire, we also work with people considering their next career move. This notice explains how Alyn collects, uses and shares your personal information during that process, whether you contact us directly or we approach you about an opportunity.

Who we are

ALYN TALENT LTD, trading as Alyn, is registered in England and Wales under company number 17438766. Its registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. For questions about candidate information, contact hello@alyntalent.com.

Information relevant to a search

Depending on the opportunity and what you choose to share, this may include your name, contact details, CV, employment history, qualifications, role preferences, availability and relevant notes from conversations or interviews. Information about a specific role is kept distinct from any separate consideration for future opportunities.

Where information comes from

Information can come directly from you when you contact Alyn, share a CV or speak with us about a role. Where a search involves a professional platform, a referral or information supplied by a client, the relevant source and how it is used must be explained for that search.

Why we use information

Candidate information may be needed to discuss an opportunity, assess suitability for a specific role, communicate with you and, where appropriate, coordinate a recruitment process with a client. The precise purposes and lawful bases, including any separate use for future opportunities, must reflect how the search actually operates. Sharing a CV for Career Advisory or Interview Advisory is not, by itself, an application for a recruitment role.

Sharing with prospective employers

If you are considered for a client opportunity, Alyn may need to share relevant information with that prospective employer as part of the agreed recruitment process. The client will have its own responsibilities for information it receives and should provide its own privacy information about its hiring process.

Future opportunities

Consideration for a particular vacancy is different from keeping your information to contact you about future roles. Alyn will not treat a CV shared solely for career or interview advice as permission to add you to a recruitment database or introduce you to employers.

Service providers and international processing

Systems used to store candidate details, any service providers with access to them, processing locations and applicable international-transfer safeguards must be identified based on the systems used in practice. Contact hello@alyntalent.com to ask about the arrangements relevant to your information.

How long information is kept

Candidate records should be kept only for as long as needed for the purposes for which they are used, subject to any legal obligations or claims. Retention for an unsuccessful application, a successful placement and any future-opportunities records may differ.

Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, you may also ask for deletion, restriction or portability, or object where processing is based on legitimate interests. These rights are not unconditional. To make a request, email hello@alyntalent.com.

Concerns and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how Alyn uses your candidate information, email hello@alyntalent.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Other recruitment practices

Any use of AI-assisted assessment, profiling, recording, automated decisions, sensitive information or background checks needs to be explained where it actually takes place, including the relevant legal conditions and safeguards. This website-enquiry notice does not describe those processes.
